What Is Believer's Baptism?

Believer’s Baptism is for anyone who has put their trust in Jesus for salvation. It doesn’t save you—Jesus does—but it is your chance to tell the world that you belong to Him. We believe every follower of Jesus should be baptized after making the decision to follow Him. Here’s why:
  • Jesus commanded it – “Go therefore and make disciples… baptizing them…” (Matthew 28:19)
  • Jesus modeled it – “At that time Jesus came… to be baptized by John.” (Mark 1:9)
  • It tells His story – “We were buried… with Him through baptism… so that we too may walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4)
  • It shares your story – Baptism is your opportunity to testify to God’s grace in your life.

Why Do We Baptize by Immersion?

The word baptize comes from the Greek word baptizō, which means “to immerse” or “to dip.” We practice baptism by full immersion because:
  • That’s how Jesus was baptized
  • It visually represents death, burial, and resurrection
  • It reflects the biblical model
