matt darby
Matt has had the joy of serving in ministry for over 28 years, with a heart to shepherd God’s people with care, love, humility, and a deep dependence on the Holy Spirit. More than anything, his desire is to see the church become a place where people genuinely encounter the presence of God — not only in gatherings, but in every part of life.
His incredible wife, Kerri, has walked alongside him in this journey of faith and ministry for 26 years. Together, they’ve raised four amazing children: Kelsey, Jackson, Clayton, and Phae. Their family has been shaped by God’s faithfulness, and they’ve seen firsthand how His grace and power sustain and lead through every season. Time and again, they have witnessed His goodness as He draws people to Himself, restores brokenness, and builds His church.
His deepest joy in ministry is seeing the joy of the Lord multiplied in the people of God as they grow in their walk with Jesus — to see them known, loved, pastored well, and invited into the deeper life with God. Whether through preaching, prayer, or simply walking alongside others, his passion is for the church to be a place where people encounter the nearness of Christ and are transformed by His presence.
When not at the church, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing (terrible) rounds of golf, listening to all kinds of music, and finding quiet moments to rest in the presence of God.

ELDERS
of New Beginnings Church
Elders give oversight and vision to the church. They shepherd the congregation through oversight, prayer, and care, leading by example according to Scripture (1 Peter 5:2-3, Titus 1:9). They protect sound doctrine, guide the church in unity and mission, and serve as faithful stewards of God’s people with humility and love (Acts 20:28, James 5:14).

Their role is to ensure that resources – both people and finances – are managed with integrity, transparency, and stewardship, so that the ministry of the church can flourish in a health, God-honoring way.
